Welcome to the Kitchen!

Welcome to Straight to the Kitchen, the official blog of the Daigle Williams Restaurant Group. Since we have recently expanded our restaurant portfolio to include locations all over the east coast we have decided that it would be beneficial to provide our insights on the restaurant industry in blog form. Whether you are looking for advice on how to optimize your restaurant, what type of equipment to buy, or just information on foodservice trends, you have come to the right place. Our blog will feature weekly updates about the foodservice industry. We hope that you will find this blog thoughtful and informative as we aim to establish ourselves among the ranks of the thought leaders in the food service industry. Be sure to check back frequently! Since our primary business is operating restaurants that serve some of the best food on the east coast, we will try to post occasional featured recipes for you to try in your home. Please feel free to comment on our blog!

*Disclaimer: This blog has been created for the purpose of a business school culminating experience. The Daigle Williams Restaurant Group is a fictitious restaurant organization. The views, recipes, and analysis are all real, however.

Other Blogs to Check Out

We here at Straight to the Kitchen know that it is important to get different perspectives on things. That's why we feature a wide range of cooking styles at all of our different locations. Likewise, we know that we are not the only authority out there when it comes to the restaurant and food service industries. There are countless different ways to prepare food and to organize a restaurant. The region, food trends, and tastes. That is why we will look to other sources to gather information on the topics that we post about. We will start with The Back Burner as one of the top blogs for food and restaurant information. We will also utilize Mouthing Off, the official blog of Food and Wine Magazine. Finally, we will gather information from The Central Restaurant Blog to find information about equipment needs and safety standards in the industry. All three of these blogs provide thought leadership in the restaurant industry and we highly recommend checking them out for yourself. As time passes and we blog more and more we will evaluate these three blogs against a stringent criteria. First, we will look to them to identify trends in the restaurant industry. Then we will use their information to craft analysis on the industry.
